Topic: The new Massachusetts Homestead Act made several changes to this important statutory provision. Learn how to ensure that transfers between current and former spouses comply with the statute, what language should be in separation agreements to avoid title issues in the future, as well as other provisions that attorneys, mediators and financial planners should be familiar with when representing divorcing clients with real estate interests.

Attorney Lee is a member of the firm Rosenberg, Freedman & Goldstein LLP in Newton, MA. Attorney Lee holds both a JD and MBA from Suffolk University. He represents lenders, sellers and purchasers in commercial and residential real estate matters. Additionally, his practice includes land use and zoning matters, condominium conversions, construction financing, commercial leasing, buy-sell of restaurants and licensing. Attorney Lee has presented to other professionals, including financial planners, on issues relating to real estate. He is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts.
